I stopped to think of how I can start this review, as nothing I could think of can show how spectacular, outstanding, amazing , beautiful that the stay in Siobhan's and Niall's listing was.

From start to finish Siobhan and Niall were wonderful hosts, very responsive at ALL times, so accommodating from the beginning of my enquiry, to the booking and right through our whole stay. They were both super informative which also allowed our stay to feel like a bespoke stage for myself, my partner and two dogs; there was no request to small or big ad were also there to assist.

When met by Niall on the listing on our first day, it could have been so overwhelming as driving a barge for first time, but he made us both feel so relaxed and trusted, that when he left it only took us a little while to get the hang off it, also because he was such a great teacher.

Once we sat off, the views were just something out of this universe, beautiful and so relaxing, it was rare we met people (which we wanted) but those of we met always waved and smiled. We had a few stops off points on the way, which was recommended by them, these were;

Fisherman's Kildare, where we went to Fishermans Thatched inn, in which we absolutely loved, it was a great spot to have the dogs, feel so welcome/accommodating and play game of pool whilst we listened to their jukebox. We slept here over night on the way out and back in which was so relaxing.

Vicarstown was such a lovely village and was so easy to fill up with water for the barge if needed and so easy to pull in. Athy great stop off point for walks (yet along the greenway there was plenty of walks) and to stock up if needed.

Now to talk about the houseboat, everything you needed was provided, it was so comfortable, easy to use and so very homely. There was nothing more on this houseboat that we could have asked for. Siobhan's recommendation was to have prepared food before you go, yet there is cooking facilities there but this gave us more time to enjoy the sights and the boat.

I have to say I will be returning again to this houseboat, and will recommend it to anyone who will listen to me.
